I got a weird situation. I am on p965 intel mobo. I was previously able yo install using the same install disk. I was getting close to a good working install except sound. I thought I was close so I decided to reformat and partion to 5 partitions MBR with the disk utility on the iatkos disk. Now when I do a fresh install it freezes at 11 minutes left and just system

No panic no error message. The only thing that has changedd is that I got 2 installations of win7 on 2 of the partitions

Any idea what would cause this...

"5 partitions MBR"

Regardless of whats causing your problem that can't be right unless you've got logical partitions set up.

Check your trying to install iatkos to a primary partition, you shouldn't have more that 4 MBR partitions.

Just an update. I have now probably done about 50 attempts. The only thing that I have found it allow me to pass 11 min mark on install is switching to IDE on the bios. But I get panics at the last install. I have been trying mostly with ACHI since all instructions point to having this set in the bios. I have tried all the combinations of install with bios in ACHI but all hangs at 11 mins or something like 4 files installed in the partitions. Any suggestions on what can be causing this?.....

I have this same problem on my Dell vostro 1500 (intel c2d, 965 graphics chipset) with iAtkos l2

- I successfully get past disk utility (create entire HDD single partition 120 gb - formatted with mac os x journeled)

- I left all customizations to their default as I am doing clean install for the first time

- Installation just hangs at '12 minutes remaining' or '11 minutes remaining' point. It installs some 3 files during this.

[Note that I have never been able to install even once fully]

I tried with different bootloader options. [-v with PCIrootid, cpus and so on] - but I am told by people it doesn't matter

I have tried different dvd formats: dmg and img files

But to no avail.

Any ideas? I am tired of burning about dozen disks so far, so need something that will "really" get me past this!
