mrrrl
I searched and could not find how to set the MTU. If you go to Sys Pref, then to network, then to Ethernet and set Configure to manual, the Packet Size shows up but the Jumbo selection is greyed out. Anyway to change this from the command line? Need to change this so I can get Parallels running WInXP to join my Win2003 AD domain. mrrrl
Your welcome. I happen to being using your 10.4.7 install. Great work, I didn't have one issue during the install. Thanks. But anyone know why JaS has the option and mine is greyed out? mrrrl
OK, I thought it might be the onboard NIC that would not support Jumbo MTU, so I installed a Netgear PCI NIC. OSX86 saw it just fine and I set it up, but the Jumbo option is still greyed out? Any ideas why this is greyed out on some and not others? danx337
it might be you are not using a giga-bit ethernet? or in terminal you could try this ifconfig en0 mtu 8000 when I tried on mine, it gave me "not permitted" error.
