I basically need to know everything i need to know in order to build a computer specifically for music production (House, Trance, Electro, Dubstep, Tech & Deep) you name it.. Ideally i want something that can run both Win7 and MacOSX Lion.. 6 cores + (i7980x - Slightly over clocked) or something with equivalent or greater performance.. 24gb ram, 2 x 250gb SSD's and 2 x 2TB Hd's.. Basic graphics capable of running 2 Dell 24" Ultrasharp monitors.. and as many PCIe slots as possible incase i run protools and want to plug in other stuff..

Registered ages ago - iirc so i could do some learning around getting leopard running on my dell netbook.

 

Anyway it's been a while - dipped in once or twice since but struggled to understand everything i read!

 

Have just ordered a hp microserver, so will be following the guide thats on the forum closely to see if i can get SL running on there or maybe I should just wait and see if Lion comes along soon
