Increase resolution unsupported graphics card

I'm trying to install Snow Leopard on my PC (I have an AMD CPU so can't install Lion) but my resolution is stuck at 1024x768 which is a long way off my monitor at 1920x1200. I have a 560ti which I have read is not compatible with Snow Leopard and needs Lion but this is out of the option due to the lack of AMD kernel. Is it possible to either get my 560ti working in Snow Leopard or at least increase the resolution to 1920x1200? I have tried setting "GraphicsMode"=1920x1200x32 at the bootloader but when I get into OSX, the resolution has decreased to 1600x1200.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Is this 560ti an nVidia card? If so, you may try NVEnabler. If it's an ATi card you may try ATY_Init. My friend has also got an unsupported card, but got native resolution on his ati card because of the ATY_init.

Hope this helps.

Still couldn't get it to work so ended up throwing a GeForce 210 in, I still use the 560ti under windows which is what I game in anyway.

Once a lion amd kernel is out I should be able to use the 560ti in mac os
