Garvin Hicking
There's a properly booting Lion on a EP45-DS3LR mainboard with Cartri BIOS, no custom DSDT. Chimera 1.7 r1394 (from #####) is used on a EFI boot loader partition with a mostly unmodified org.chameleon.Boot.plist (pnci=0x2000 PCIRootUID=1, GraphicsEnabler=Yes). The one thing that is not working, but is a huge deal, is deep sleep / hibernate to disk. "pmset -a hibernatemode 25" (and also 1) has been tried, and the sleepimage is properly written. But when rebooting, chimera complains with the dreaded "incorrect image signature" and boots up fresh. On http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=266476 I've seen that supposedly a recent Chameleon bootloader fixes the issue(?). What's the difference in Chimera/Chameleon? Can one simply replace the bootloader on the EFI partition with Chameleon, or which drawbacks will that have? Or is the deep hibernation caused by something else - is it working for anyone? Matty___
They share the same sourcecode afaik. What's wrong with normal sleep? Garvin Hicking
Hi! Sorry for replying late (vacation). The problem with normal sleep is that I don't want the computer to be powered for 10 hours until I login the next day to continue work where I left off.
