Kevin Gore Posted January 15, 2012 Share Posted January 15, 2012 (edited) good day Iam new to the forum and i have a problem i am trying to insatll snow lepoard osx86 on my dell i570 ispirion when i load it for the dvd it goes through the install part and then reboots and i get a kernel panic its done this twice already and i get the same kernel panic .but something different happend this last time i had to restart my computer and when i did i got a picture of a lizard on the screen with a bunch of code bing downloaded and then at the bottom of the screen it says it is safe to turn your computer off and then my computer shuts down is ther a patch i can copy and past into the intall dvd to update it or should i try and install it with just the basics first both the pictures are the same ones just clearer than the other thank you for qiuck responce and help this is my system config dell mb 04gjjt amd atholon II x4 630 cpu socket am3 (mmx+,3dnow+sse 1,2,3,4a x86-64 amdv) chip set amd 785g southbridge amd sb700 lpcid it8720, ati radeon 4200 rs 880 realtex hd audio 6 gigs of ram and a 1 tig harddrive. Rrrrrrrrrrr Posted January 15, 2012 Share Posted January 15, 2012 Try disabling Cool 'n' Quiet in the BIOS. If that doesn't work try these boot flags: cpus=1 and/or busratio=200.
