Hello guys,

I'm trying to install MacOsx Lion using iAtkos L2 on my Dell vostro 1015 laptop. I end up with these Bootcache and Launchctl errors:

BootCacheControl : Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist: 2 No such file or directory
Bug: launchctl.c:2408 (24957):30: (dbfd = open(g_job_overrides_db_path, 0_RDONLY | 0_EXLOCK | 0_CREAT, S_IRUSR | S_IWUSR)) l= -1

System Specs:

Dell Vostro 1015

Intel Core2Duo Cpu T6570 @ 2.10 GHz

2048 MB of memory, 800 MHz DDR2

500 Gb WD HDD

Intel GM45 Graphics

I'm stuck like many others, have you gotten past this error? share your experiences!

Try using a retail snow leopard disk to initially get an installation. You can boot this with one of the many boot disks, just find one suited to your hardware. I found the nawcom mod cd to be very good.

There is a dsdt for your laptop here:

Once you have snow leopard running well, you can use this SL installation to create the lion install media, partition your HDD and install lion, then once lion is working properly you can delete the snow leopard partition.

If you have access to a mac/hack you can use to create the lion install media you can skip the whole snow leopard installation (you just need it to create the lion install media.)

Either way, don't use a distro. Most people here seem to use a retail install method, myself included, distros are therefore harder to support.

I get past this error using Pc EFI 10.7 boot file and PC EFI 10.6 boot0hfs and boot1h.

I installed chameleon on my usb flash, and copied iatkos installation files on it, but when it finishes checking and after language selection page, it says The installer disc could not be found... or it freezes on the language selection page or I get some weird kernel panics.

every time I see a new error...

It takes too much to even reach the Mac OS x installer and I'm quite frustrated after almost a week.

I have Mac OS X 10.6.6 installed By the way...

I am try to install High Sierra, as per #####
I have have successfully booted from the install usb drive and have booted into "Install macOS High Sierra". I had to add a boot flag (-no_compat_check) to the clover bootloader in order for the usb stick to boot properly. Also, at first I couldn't see the SSD drive in disk utility, but I fixed that by asking disk utility to show all drives.

Onto the current problem. I am having major issues trying to install High Sierra to a NVMe SSD. When I run "Install macOS High "Sierra" I get the following error:

"The version of macOS installed on this mac is newer than the version you are trying to install. When a new update is available, you can install it from the Updates plane in the Mac App Store. If you want to reinstall macOS, please use macOS recovery."

Also, It doesn't matter if the startup volume is formatted as APFS or HFS+.

If I format the drive using GPARTED on linux, the installer just says the startup volume doesn't have journaling enable. If I then run disk utility and enable journaling on the startup volume, then go back to the installer, I get the aforementioned error msg.

      I have the following specs:

      Asus Prime X299 Deluxe.
      ADATA 512GB NVMe SSD.

How do I fix this issue?

I have done a semi-successful install of macOS Sierra 10.12.6 on my Dell OptiPlex 3010. When I mean semi-successful, I mean I have some issues left, one of them is Networking.
Networking, meaning Ethernet, does not seem to work on this machine after installing Mac OS. I've tried installing kext files, reinstalling Sierra, and so on but nothing seems to work, I have an Ethernet cable plugged and it's lights flashing and whatever but the connection does not show up in Sierra.
      My PC Specs are:
      Dell OptiPlex 3010 MT
      Intel Core i3-3240 @ 3.40GHz
      AMD Radeon HD 7470
      4GB of RAM
      Realtek RTL8111E
      So, Any Help?

      Hello everyone,
I am trying make the fix keyboard backlight on Dell Latitude E6230. It currently works but the macOS not recognized it. There is a keyboard shortcut which had 6 states of bright. I'm using IOWMIFamily to use the display brightness shortcut(Fn Up/Down) Is there a way to make the Ultimate keyboard backlight slider like in Debian?

P/s: By the way, what is the ADB codes for VidMirror? I want to remap it because it controlled by PS2 and currently map to cmd+P(print) Thanks again
