stasicasi
Hey there, I've got another problem with my hackintosh. I use a current smbios.plist with following settings: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd$ <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>SMbiosdate</key> <string>04/22/10</string> <key>SMbiosvendor</key> <string>Apple Inc.</string> <key>SMbiosversion</key> <string>MM41.88Z.0042.B00.1004221740</string> <key>SMboardproduct</key> <string>Mac-F2208EC8</string> <key>SMfamily</key> <string>Macmini</string> <key>SMmanufacturer</key> <string>Apple Inc.</string> <key>SMproductname</key> <string>Macmini4,1</string> <key>SMserial</key> <string>XXXX</string> <key>SMsystemversion</key> <string>1.0</string> </dict> </plist> So, now i want to change my model from a MacMini to a MacPro 3,1. My procedure is: Install MacPro 3,1 plist via MultiBeat 4.1 Use Chameleon Wizard to get an valid Serial. Save & reboot => Everything works, except Hardware Acceleration. (VDADecoderCheck gives an error message & Plex VDADecoder doesn't work anymore). When i use my old smbios.plist with the MacMini Hardware Information - everything works. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? - casi
Gringo Vermelho
Your first mistake is not posting your specs.
Foxic
Are you trying to use onboard intel HD3000 graphics? If so, the only system that uses this is macmini or macbook air (possibly other macbook models but they also have a dedicated graphics card which kicks in when needed) For this reason you'll either need a macmini or macbook air smproductname, smfamily, serial etc to have intel HD3000 graphics working.
