badaxe2
How do i check if speed step is working ?
Noam AA
Use FakeSMC plugins for CPU readings and SMC monitor.app, and check it's voltage/Frequency changes. if it moves, speedster working, if it's not, then it's not.
badaxe2
I have actually disabled power management by the os in the bios so the cpu multiplier stays at 21x200mhz I booted into windows 7 and here are the results of geek bench 64 with exactly the same bios settings as when i boot into 10.7.2 Here is my smbios and boot.plist maybe this has something to do with drop in performance ?? badaxe2
Fixed --- 1 - Had to enable all power saving features in the bios 2 - Had to drop multiplier in the bios to 20 from 21 Final Bios Settings Default cpu settings with blck @200mhz x 20 Turbo Enabled Also installed smcmonitor.app to verify that speedsted is working and it is
