Hi folks!

It's my first post since I'm also planning on having a Hackintosh, and a monster rig at that, and although I've searched around a bit, I haven't found info about all the components I've put together..

The CPU I want it to be Intel's i7-980, I haven't read anywhere Macs using that but I hope that's a good choice?

As for the motherboard, after some research I've discovered that the GA-X58A-UD3R rev 2.0 would be the way to go with that CPU. I'm thinking about slapping 12 Gb's of RAM on it, anybody know if the Corsair Vengeance 1600's work?

My biggest gripe is the graphics card. Originally I wanted to go with a dual MSI GTX 560's setup to use in SLI (as I'm planning it to be a dual boot together with Win7 64), although I know SLI isn't supported in MacOS. Then I've read on this forum that the Fermi-based GFX cards have issues, so I'm thinking I'll probably have to go with a Radeon 6970, anybody know if the Gigabyte OC2 model of it works? I haven't read any thread of anybody using the 6970's yet...

As for diskspace, I'm planning on a RAID-0 of two Corsair Force3 SSD's, and two WD Caviar Black 1,5GB discs for storage (one for each OS).

Many thanks in advance for help clarifying these issues! As I said, my main gripe is the graphics card since I need one which is powerful enough to provide speedy graphics to a 27" monitor I'm planning on buying to run at 2560 x 1440...

Cheers!
