Really bad video and sound quality (vmware)

Hey everyone, I really wasn't sure where to post this, so I posted it here.

Just recently I installed Lion on vmware, and everything works well except for video and sound.

When I play songs with QuickTime or iTunes, the sound is pretty bad quality and it's a bit jumpy.. and also when I try to play video, it's all pixelated.

Also, when I try to play YouTube videos, the video box is clear and I can see my desktop through it. It's like the video isn't there, but I can still hear it.

I've tried changing how much vram my VM can have, and still no difference. Right now it's set at about 256mb of vram, but I can go higher if needed. (I have a ATI HD 6850 OC, which has 1gb of vram).

Does anyone know how to fix this?

System Specs:

J&W H55M-L Motherboard

intel Core i3 550 cpu

ATI HD 6850 OC 1GB

1TB Hitachi HDD

8GB DDR3 1333 RAM (I gave the VM 5GB of RAM)
