trookam Posted October 28, 2011 Share Posted October 28, 2011 Hi all, i recently success install a Lion 10.7.2 on my packard bell. Only have not working audio. The hardware id is: 8086:293e ICH9 Family IO8081I On snow leopard 10.6.8 i usually use voodooHDA 2.7.2 and work 100%, but last time i tried on Lion get a kernel panel after 1 or 2 reboots. KHIT Posted October 29, 2011 Share Posted October 29, 2011 Have you tried using the installer for the latest voodoohda: http://voodoohda.googlecode.com/files/Vood...A-2.7.2.pkg.zip It worked for me in Lion DP4, only with a problem with forgetting settings made in Audio MIDI setup upon reboot. With VoodooHDA you have to disable AppleHDA.kext. You can remove it, or remove HDEF device from DSDT, or install a disabler. When VoodooHDA and AppleHDA gets loaded at same time, you get a KP.
