MurCurY
Ok...got as far is this. got daemaon tools, vmware, and jas image on lappy. Mounted image in daemon and told vm where to find it. No problems. On bootup there was a minor issue with a "file missing"...little goole searching yielded that I didn't have enough ram allocated to vmware...fixed that. It's now installing...@85%...looks like it's going well....BUT.... The time remaining line keeps going up and up and up...it's now at 6hrs 43min remaining. Is this a flaw in something...or is this accurate? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/27085-os-x86-on-inspiron-1100/ Share on other sites

MurCurY
ok....6 hours in...decided to stop it and try again. Figured ot what i did wrong. I installed EVERYTHING. For those who are just starting out...on the install portioin make sure you choose what packages you need. New question....I installed the base system, wireless support, no printer support, no languages, SSE2, and the JaS OS10.4.7 updates. Is this correct?
