athena
Hi Guys, Having previously installed Lion on my old dv5 1010 ea which is now going to the other half and having previously set up a pretty much vanilla system on my Gigabyte X58A UD7 motherboard, both using MaLd0n's Lion installation, I'm struggling to even boot to the installer on this new notebook. Having tried various methods from other threads and such as this and also this, I am finding that I cannot even boot to the installer... it just hangs, no kernel panic or anything. I have generated a DSDT in windows but that is making no difference. On top of this, having acquired a Broadcom card that worked OOTB on my old dv5, once again there seems to be a whitelist problem (Arghhhhh HP!!!!!!!), which I seem unable to flash the whitelist bios f1A that is floating around to the laptop (it just reboots then says unable to update!), any help on these issues would be most appreciated as having to run Windows is no joke, I thought I was beyond that Thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/270713-installing-lion-on-hp-dv6-6156ea-sandybridge-i5/ Share on other sites
