Help Graphics ATI :S

hey guys i have a ATI Radeon HD 3000 graphics Card, the display is fine but when for instance i click on minecraft it goes black screen and comes up saying

 

Minecraft has crashed!

i think the error is something to do with the Graphics card, do i have to install a kext or something
