ddrmama
Hi! I have update my OSX to 10.6.8 and my audio has gone. I can´t do it come back again. I have tried to use a custom DSDT and without DSDT. I have a MB ASUS P5P77D. I don´t know what can I do to get my sound back. Any help is welcome! Thanks in advance! jjpp
This worked for me, Search, download and then run ##### Install the appleHDA Rollback.kext repair permissions Reboot Some other cool things on there you might wanna look into... Hope that helps
ddrmama
Thanks for your answer. have you installed any DSDT? If you have done it, what DSDT have you installed? I have tried to install apple had rollback but in my sound device (in profiler system) didn´t appear anything. I have tried to install Vodoo and appears one sound device but isn´t correct, because the only choice that I have to set up the input channel is digital input and my sound card doesn´t have this option. Thanks in advance!
Gringo Vermelho
Hi! I have update my OSX to 10.6.8 and my audio has gone. In 10.6.8, AppleHDA is like AppleHDA in Lion. None of the old ways of patching it will work. If you want to use AppleHDA from 10.6.8, you can look for a guide on how to patch it for your hardware in Lion, the same method will work. I can't help, I'm still using AppleHDA from 10.6.7 because I'm lazy. have you installed any DSDT? If you have done it, what DSDT have you installed? Hopefully his own. Don't use someone elses DSDT even if they have the same motherboard as you. Extract and patch your own.
t0mmyk
finally it appeared that the MB is broken, that's why I could barely hear the audio... I'm now waiting for EP45-DS3R What I did was: 1. Installed OSX with ##### + 10.6.3 Retail 2. booted into system with ##### 3. a) Using DSDT Editor I extracted DSDT from my system Patched it using fixes available in DSDT editor c) compiled DSDT.aml file and saved it on my desktop 4. Installed 10.6.8 update 5. Started ##### a) installed my custom DSDT using userDSDT option installed some additional kexts (fakeSMC, AppleHDA rollback, ALC legacy audio + ALC899a) I'm sure that if there would be no prob with my MB sound would be fine. BTW. I have ATI 6870 and it was running flawless after 10.6.8 update.
ddrmama
Thanks for your answer but I haven´t luck with this method. Yesterdat, I have followed it but my system profiler doesn´t recognized any sound card. have you P7P55D MB? I have an ASUS. have you inject your sound card in your DSDT? I have used my own DSDT... any ideas? Thanks in advance
