WHATS THE DIFFERENCE ? u won’t need for anything except ur own pc “no other mac ,no other hackintosh with SL installed on” ,this method took me 5 days ‘day & night’ to get it done so remember NO PAIN NO GAIN. MY CONFIG: asus p5q deluxe e8400 3.0 ghz oc to 3.6 ghz ati sapphire 4870 1gb 4gb ram 800 mhz oc to 1066 mhz My Kexts incase u have the same config ,u can use this Drivers ,replace Evoenabler.kext with ur vga driver. also work on this config Rampage Ex.2. i7 920. 6gb ram. Ati sapphire 5850. WHAT WE WILL NEED ? 1-An already installed windows 7 2-VirtualBox latest version from Here + the Extension Pack its on the same page 3-SnowLeopard 10.6 retail Dvd + the 10.6.8 update 4-[url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] & [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] latest version from Here 5-Modified bios ‘search on Google’ > [your motherboard model] mac bios < 6-Flash drive ‘8gb’ 7-Mac drivers aka.kexts ‘to get ur Vga,Sound and Network cards working’ , >Go to ur motherboard manufacture site and check the names of the device/chips names of ur board >then go to Kexts.com and search for ur drivers ‘kexts’ 8-Myhack 1.4 from Here INSTALLING THE VIRTUAL MACHINE: 1-install VirtualBox & the extension pack then open it and click on New and follow this images 2-when u r done ,go a head and click on settings and follow this also 3-chose [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] for the 1st and the snow leopard dvd for the 2nd. 4-then plug in ur flash drive and chose it from the menu like this > 5-click ok and unplug ur flash drive and lets start installing the OS by pressing on start 6-now the VM will start and boot from [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] ,once u get to the boot screen chose ur OSX install Disc and hit enter 7-wait less than a minute and chose ur language ,then from the top menu chose DiskUtil and do as this one 8-when u r done ,quite the DiskUtil ,u’ll be back again to the main window ,click next > agree > chose ur driver and click customize > unselect the printer drivers > continue. 9-now go do something as it will take 10 or 15 mins to finish 10-at the end u will get 1 of 2 signs >1st its green sign ,which means everything is done and restart. >2nd its yellow sign ,don’t worry ,just ignore it. 11-next go to Machine > Reset and click Reset at the prompt. 12-when it boots again ,this time chose the driver u just installed the OSX on 13-wait a couple of mins and u will get to the settings and all of that ,finish them and get to the desktop. 14-next go to Machine >shutdown the machine or something. USB PREPARATION: 1-now plug ur flash drive and format it as ntfs ,don’t worry SL have native support for ntfs as a ReadOnly so its totally fine. 2-copy the Myhack 1.1.4 + [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] + ur kexts ‘drivers’ u already downloaded and put them all on ur flash drive. 3-open the VB and start ur VM ,then chose ur OSX Drive. 4-once you are at the desktop click on Devices > chose ur Flash drive if it didn’t show on mac ,unplug and plug and chose it from devices again 5-copy all the files from it to the desktop ,then open DiskUtil > chose ur flash > click on partition > chose from drop down menu 1 partition > and select format as Mac OS Extented (Journled) > click on option and chose MBR like the image 6-hit ok then apply 7-then click on the Mac OS X Install DVD on the desktop and eject then go to Devices > uncheck the osx install dvd > check it again so it become visible in the DiskUtil on left ,after that click on restore and follow this 8-click on restore and again ,go do something as it will take 20 mins or so. 9-when its finished ,open MYHACK Installer 1.1.4 and click continue > agree > change install location > chose ur flash drive > continue > customize > leave everything and check appleps2controller + uncheck sleepenabler > install. 10-wait till its finished then close it then open [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] click continue > agree > open OSX86 Software and chose Kext Utility & ShowAllFiles > continue > install leave as it is ,don’t change the location. 11-wait till its finished then open ur flash drive > open Extra > Extensions > copy all the kexts u downloaded inside that folder and replace if any ,then go back to extra and delete this file Extensions.mkext. 12-open the Applications folder and drag the Kext Utility & ShowAllFiles to the desktop then drag the Extensions folder from ur USB over it to fix ur kext perm/cash ,when its done u will find a new file call Extensions.mkext in Extra folder instead of the one u just deleted this is sooooooo important ,because this is the file that tells the osx installer where&which kexts to load 13-now copy the Kext Utility & ShowAllFiles to the USB because we’ll need them later. 14-good news ,u r done with the usb thing. ps: if u included ur vga and sound kexts in the Ext folder ,u will be able to see and hear the introduction video ,if for some reason u didn’t ,u'll have to boot with -x -v or you'll stuck at the loading screen. BIOS SETTINGS: 1-get ur Mac modified bios and search on Google for how to flash that bios to ur mb ,be very cautious with this as this could damage ur MB ,so be very very careful. 2-when you're done shut down the pc and leave it for a couple of mins then open it again and hit Delete to enter the bios > change the storage configuration to AHCI. WHY AHCI ? >because mac use this to treat the HDD drivers as flash drive so it could mount and unmount at anytime ,this is very useful because when mac make changes to a certain drive it unmount it 1st to do changes ,don’t worry as windows 7 can handle it also so its okey. 3-change suspend mode to S3. 4-disable or enable the Firewire option wont make a difference. INSTALLING THE SNOWLEO: one thing to know b4 u start we are about to change the HDD boot structure of the HDD u will install the snow leopard on to GUID WHY ? MBR > is windows only GUID >is mac & windows + it will be easier to install any of the upcoming OS like windows 8 or even Mac Lion without the need for any modified files to get around. 1-so open ur windows 7 and i will assume that u have 2 HDD ,1 to hold all ur Data and 1 for the operation systems and this is a much efficient method btw ,because if something went wrong with ur OS and u want to install a new one ur data will be safe and sound on the other HDD ,so please be very careful about that as i mentioned above as we will format the whole HDD which means it will wipe out everything on that HDD. 2-that said ,go a head and unplug ur data HDD and leave only the HDD we are about to format ,also leave only one vga card so if u have another ,unplug it also ‘don’t worry ,u can install it later’. 3-restart and boot from ur Flash drive by pressing F8 and choosing it. 4-at the boot menu >u can use -x -v this is useful in case something went wrong and u want to know what happened u can search for ur problem on the forum or on google and am sure u will find am answer only 1 hiccup is u may need another pc with VB too to fix ur problem but if everything went right which am pretty sure you won't need to worry. or >boot normally without any commands then do like we did in the VM [language ,uncheck printers ,etc] except for one thing which is the formatting of the HDD to GUID. 5-open DISKUTIL and click on ur HDD > partition > chose 3 partitions from the drop down menu or if u intend to install Lion then make it 4 >1st windows Fat >2nd SnowLeo Mac OS Extended (Journled) >3rd Lion Mac OS Extended (Journled) >4th Free Space "u can format it later" -then click on option and chose GUID > ok > apply ,wait till its finished then close it. 6-you will be back to the window where u chose ur drive u want to install on ,chose ur SnowLeo and continue ,wait till its done ,at the end u will get 1 of the 2 signs like the VM ,btw sometimes u get the yellow sign and sometimes u won’t i could find a logical reason for either one ,whatever it is click restart. 7-boot again with ur USB but this time chose ur installed driver ,finger crossed and in a min u will be watching the kick butt intro video ,if not restart and use -x -v ,i don’t imagine something would go wrong ,maybe its a just problem related to ur vga kext ,totally fine boot with the commands and later on u can get and install ur right kext. 8-now ur done with the installing ,open up ur flash drive > open MyHack ,this time don’t change the distention ,and also uncheck the sleepenabler we will install it later. 9-if u don’t plan to update to 10.6.8 or any version and want to install the drivers now ,copy the Kext Utility to desktop then chose the VGA,Sound,Network kexts from the USB and drag them over the Util which will install and fix the permission for them. 10-restart and boot normally without the USB. ps: if u booted with the -x -v don’t worry ,install the drivers when u boot and everything will be fine. INSTALLING WINDOWS 7: This is the easiest part 1-its better to remove any other HDD except the one u have ur OS's on to avoid any confusion. 2-insert ur dvd ,boot from it then > Click Repair your computer > System Recovery Options dialog box, click Command Prompt > then enter this commands diskpart > select disk 0 > list partition > *u will get 4 partitions 1st ignore ,2nd is ur windows ,3rd is ur SNOWLEO ,4th is Lion or the free space select partition 2 > active 3-exit the command prompt > then continue till u get to the window where u chose which driver to install on ,chose ur windows driver > then click on format > and format it to NTFS. 4-install the windows and when u r finished and on the desktop. DUALBOOT: 5-download EasyBCD 1.7.2 not the latest version > install > when finished click on Advanced Settings > then add Entry > chose Mac from the menu then write whatever name you want then chose GenerecX86 > save and u r done. ps: if u want to install Lion ,then escape the EasyBCD method and check this Tutorial Updating to 10.6.8: 1-connect ur data HDD ,then copy the update to the desktop of ur SL. 2-install it and don’t do anything else or it may crash the system. 3-restart when finished. 4-boot into SL and in case ur sound & network are gone ,reinstall ur downloaded drivers once more with Kext UTil. 5-get sleepenabler.kext for 10.6.8 from Here Notes: if u use evoreboot dont use openhaltrestart. if u use dsdt dont use nullcpupowermangment / smbiosresolver if u cant find a modified bios for ur MB ,get dsdt from Here and add fixes then use it. 'this should fix ur restart /shutdown /sleep /built-in devices' *u can also use the dsdt beside ur modified bios if u want. ParallelsDesktop 7 *if u tried to install Parallels on ur OSX/Lion ,u will always get the boot0 thing *in order to fix that use this Video but activate ur windows driver instead and then install the app. *finish ur Parallels setup on windows ,go back to ur OSX/Lion and check if everything is working as expected in Parallels then use the same method in the video and this time activate ur Mac Driver not windows. ♠♣♥ Greetings goes to [Netkas , Mald0n , TonyMacx86 & MacMan , LifeHacker Team , CaptainNemo , RoberT_XeS , ladiciuus , Others] Thanx so much.
