ALC883 and GA-965P-S3

Hey there,

 

I have a Gigabyte GA-965P-S3 running 10.7 and a DSDT generated by the renown auto-patcher tool by maldon.

I am running 2.7.2 voodooha atm, i have sound but only on one output and no mic. Wanna get back back to the old patched applehda i use in SL, tried ALC8xx from [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] and a whole lot of other options.

 

Any1 actually made this work in Lion?

I installed Lion using the Maldon's guide. Then, I replaced appleHDA.kext with the following link.

I have Lion installed using iAtkos L1. Had to use the Audio Rollback drive from [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] after upgrading to 10.7.2. I have a DSDT that Maldon assisted with that I use with SL and works fine with Lion. Graphics (7300GS) works and so does Networking but Sleep does not. (See my sig for hardware setup). Even though the motherboard states ALC883 chipset it actually uses the ALC888. If you patch your DSDT to use the ALC888 instead you may have better luck.
