gvollant
Hi, Pehaps you'll have an idea to help me. I've a MacMini1,1 (the first MacMini Intel). Shipped with a 32 bits Core Duo. I replaced Core Duo by a Core 2 Duo. Snow Leopard accepts running 64 bits Intel application well. I tried install Lion GM. The install did not accept, saying Mac is not compatible. I was surprised. MacMini1,2 (same hardware, but originally shipped with a Core 2 duo) is Lion GM compatible. at a verbose boot, I read boot file path: \System\Library\CoreServices\boot.efi .. *********************************************************** This version of Mac OS X is not supported on this platform! *********************************************************** Reason: Mac-F4208EC8 Apple just does hard coding exclusion in the boot.efi file of MacMini1,1. I known this forum is not designed for real mac users. But pehaps you can have a idea of solution.

There are three ways around it (none of which have been successfully completed to my knowledge yet): Hack OS X so that the 'Mac-F4208EC8' board ID is added. Tricky, as it seems to be in multiple places and would be easily affected by updates. Hack the firmware and reflash the Macmini1,1 to report itself as a Macmini2,1 (it's actually the board ID that seems to be important; I don't have a Macmini2,1 board ID to hand). Should be a robust solution. Use Chameleon / other OSx86 bootloader with SMBIOS injection to report the Macmini2,1 details. Possible? My Macmini1,1 is also upgraded with a Core 2 Duo, but is performing important work and can't be taken down for tinkering.

Raid13
Wow, that's great to see it worked for you. I'm trying to do the exact same installation. Can you provide some explanation about where to put which files in the install USB key ? Many thanks P. La méthode donnée dans le lien fonctionne. Raid13
