dertachyon
Hi all, I have a Toshiba R840 laptop with cpu core i5 2410 and graphics card ATI Radeon mobility 6450 1024MB. I installed Snow Leopard retail, then combo uptate 10.6.7, ##### and bridgehelper. Almost everything works, except the resolution of my video that is stuck at 1024x768 and not able to open jpg and png images in preview. I think I have tried everything possible to have 1366x768 resolution and full QE/QI. Do you have any suggestion for modifying the screen resolution of my laptop? Thanks in advance, Dertachyon The output that I get from lspci is, 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: ATI Technologies Inc NI Seymour [AMD Radeon HD 6470M] [1002:6760] (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Toshiba America Info Systems Unknown device [1179:0004] 01:00.1 Audio device [0403]: ATI Technologies Inc Unknown device [1002:aa98] Subsystem: Toshiba America Info Systems Unknown device [1179:0001] My com.apple.Boot.plist is <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>-v arch=x86_64 PCIRootUID=1</string> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1366x768x32@60</string> <key>UseAtiROM</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>AtiConfig</key> <string>Duckweed</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>2</string> <key>Legacy Logo</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/260943-help-with-ati-mobility-6450/ Share on other sites
dertachyon
Hi guys, It seems that the reason of not able to have QE/CI is because my graphics card is connected to the internal LCD through the Displayport. I attach my BIOS dump processed with radeon_bios_decode. Also, it seems that Snow Leopard is not loading any framebuffer. When I execute ioreg -l | grep ATY I get nothing. Any comment and help would be appreciated.
