Checkout the last 2 pages to see what I've been trying.

I'm noticing the major problematic kext here is AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext , leaving all original kexts intact and removing that one causes the internal VGA to load but it's a mess of a screen, lines all over the place, unreadable by the human eye.

If someone wants to decompile the binary and send it over I'll be glad to attempt to tamper with it. It seems like that's really the only hope here, loading NVIDIA kexts isn't going to get us QE/CI, which I'm sure is what we all want aside from the resolutions.

Hi, here is my experience with vaio VPCEA23FB

using iatkos l2 default settings and Manor's 10.7 drivers.

Works:

- Play quicktime videos,

- Youtube videos with ClickToFlash safari extension, have

- Full resolution (set on chameleon boot.plist)

- Graphics correctly recognized by osx, but no QE/CI yet.

Don't work:

- QE/CI

- Flash videos

- Brightness control

Here's my screenshot attached. Sorry for my bad english!

This time Apple has defeated the people hack ... have won. the intel 5700 hd think anyone will ever get it working 100% .... is a very popular card, for which many feel, including programmers, but they are not. Perhaps some professional hacker (true hacker) could succeed.

Unfortunately, we must sadly admit that this is the reality.

I could install Lion with this guide: http://www.insanelym...howtopic=260594

for those without an external monitor.

(Delete all Graphics Kexts. Delete all Intel GMA 950 Kexts, Intel GMA X3100 kexts, Intel HD Graphics Kexts, ATI Graphics Kexts, NVidia Graphics Kexts, and GeForce Kexts.) :D BEFORE INSTALL LION, FOR NOT TO HAVE A BLACK SCREEN :D (IS ONLY FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT HAVE AN EXTERNAL MONITOR)

THIS IS ONLY IF YOU WANT TRY LION FOR INTEL GRAPHICS HD WHILE THERE A SOLUTION

sorry I'm not very good with English

My Notebook:

HP Pavilion dv4-2165dx

Intel i3 Arrandele

Intel HD Graphics / GMA 5700

4GB Ram

500 GB HD

Gruss,

Lance

I have native resolution on Lion using "Graphics Mode"="1600x900x32". manor's kexts remove the lag in Launchpad. No QE/CI of course, but it's usable. It depends if you have your resolution in your VESA modes. You can check this with Chameleon at the boot screen. I also have my EDID injected.

Hi Lance;-)

Man du sprichst deutsch, cool ;-) freut mich!

Gruss kasi

Hello TheMasterRacer!

What is the VESA Modes? Please Detail Manuell! Step by Step, please!

@Kasi At the Chameleon boot screen, type ?video - this will give you info about all VESA resolutions your graphics card supports. If your native resolution is listed. Type:

"Graphics Mode"="1600x900x32"

Where 1600x900x32 is replaced with your native resolution.

Hallo Kasi,

:star_sunglasses:

Gruss,

Lance

I've set any SMBIOS, installed a lot of different kexts, tried any chameleon configuration but can't get it to work over 1024x768 even if now it recognizes 0x0046 as Intel HD and the nVidia GeForce GT 540M is recognized with correct 2GB vRAM.

My specs are

Acer Aspire 5742G

Intel i5-480M with sandy bridged Intel HD(I suppose 5700)

nVidia GeForce GT 540M

4GB DDR3 RAM

Can't download from the previously posted chameleon link 'cause I still don't have enough posts to download forum attachments, but I already installed the latest version of it(not the one "+ nVidia"), by the way...
