AnakinSolo2002
Hi I have a Gateway Nx570x with an upgraded cpu. I originally tried installing with iATKOS S3 v2 but could never get it to boot. Have been trying to install with Hazard 10.6.6i and it worked and booted and everything. However the 950gma drivers won't stick. is there a 32/64 bit issue? Something weird though. if I boot to the hazard disk then boot to mac partition the driver works. Anyone know if that disc uses something (commands) different than chameleon rc5? I've tried rc4 no luck. but booting from hazard it works.
Dellmantt
Try booting with "GraphicsEnabler=Yes" at Chameleon prompt. I f that works add <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> to "com.appleBoot.plist" The best way for GMA 950 is a simple DSDT fix. See my guide #post 4 What is the ID of that GMA
AnakinSolo2002
its the 27a2 one I'm going to re-install again and add the graphics enabler during the install. Do i need the EFI string i've read about. I'm a pretty knowledgeable PC user, and I know a little about macs, but a lot of this stuff is just beyond me. not much linux/unix knowledge either. thanks for any help! Why would you re-install just to add graphics enabler to the boot.plist http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&...0l373l373l3-1l1 There are a few ways to get the GMA 950 working DSDT patch (my preference) USE VANILLA (un-patched) KEXTS OR adding EFI Strings USE VANILLA (un-patched) KEXTS OR Enabler via Chameleon (via com.apple.Boot.plist) or Enabler kext. OR patched kexts. Suggest you read the links from this search http://www.google.com.au/search?q=site:ins...206&bih=

Dellmantt
What Apple installs. You might want to upgrade to 10.6.7, it included updated GMA 950 Drivers. And as far as I know the drivers are only 32 bit.

Dellmantt
"arch=i386" at Chameleon boot or "arch=i386 -v"
AnakinSolo2002
"arch=i386" at Chameleon boot or "arch=i386 -v" SOLVED! thanks for all the help! just booting into 32 bit solved my problem, no need for 64 bit. I tried too many things to worry about getting that to work. Most amazing thing is my bluetooth works OOB. Ethernet just needs a driver. Sadly i have the ill adaptive intel 3945. may buy me a new one. trying to update to 10.6.7 hopefully nothing will get messed up.
