atka Posted June 11, 2011 Share Posted June 11, 2011 I can't get sound to work either on DP4 ALC889. I have tried hexediting the lion kext tried the 10.6.2 and 10.6.7 but nothing works. antic Posted June 11, 2011 Share Posted June 11, 2011 Got mine working with LegacyHDA 888.kext in E/E and replace AppleHDA.kext in S/L/E with AppleHDA from 10.6.2 You should be able to find both somewhere on http://www.tonymacx86.com/index.php?sid=de...18ebc8646a61b23 Also cured some graphics issues I was having in that I could not Play any H264 video. You will also need to edit your DSDT.aml. Make sure you patch from Snow Leopard as Patcher doesn't seem to work correctly from Lion 10.7.
