So after 2 days of working on this I succeeded in full installing OS X 10.6.3, had some trouble with certain hardware features not working, but eventually I got everything working.

Then I decided I wanted to update, but I didn't do enough research and ended up overwriting my USB kexts. So i was locked out of my computer and decided to just redo the install. I formatted the hard disc (i think this happened using a windows 7 disc at the windows 7 advanced drive options screen) and now I'm trying to reinstall the os but there is no destination drive. Can't figure out why, since I'm using all the settings from before that I know have worked.

I've already tried using GParted to format the whole drive to HFS+ FAT32 NTFS etc, setting the partition table to MBR and GPT, etc. Ran out of ideas...

Any ideas? thnx
