Hey,

I installed iAtkos S3 v2 on my computer. I then booted with -v -x, removed ATIRadeonX2000.kext. Installed HD4830 drivers from here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=231329# . My problem is that after booting up the GPU fan spins fine up until the drivers are loaded. At that point it stops spinning. Can this be fixed?

My specs:

Intel C2D E7300 2.66GHz

Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3

OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) 800MHz

XFX 1GB HD4850

Regards,

It may sound stupid but how would I go about updating to 10.6.6?

run software update. remove the sleepenabler reboot before (if you have it). then run netkas exotic patch for 10.6.6. I believe you should boot. google for other patches

It updated to 10.6.7. I can boot into safe mode but it normal mode I get a grey screen after the apple logo (I guess it's down to the drivers :/).

remove atiradeonx2000kext then try to reboot. if you can change resolution after that you have only to take graphics accelleration. search about 4850 injection or something like that (ex evoenabler). obiviously you have already try to install netkas exotic package before post otherwise our discussion will be useless.
