Lollylost100 Posted May 5, 2011 Share Posted May 5, 2011 Hey, I installed iAtkos S3 v2 on my computer. I then booted with -v -x, removed ATIRadeonX2000.kext. Installed HD4830 drivers from here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=231329# . My problem is that after booting up the GPU fan spins fine up until the drivers are loaded. At that point it stops spinning. Can this be fixed? ytrox Posted May 5, 2011 Share Posted May 5, 2011 update to 10.6.6 or more. my 4830 after that update works with the original fun. or with 30$ you can change the fun. on my 4890 I have the Scythe MUSASHI vga cooler. ytrox Posted May 5, 2011 Share Posted May 5, 2011 It may sound stupid but how would I go about updating to 10.6.6? run software update. remove the sleepenabler reboot before (if you have it). then run netkas exotic patch for 10.6.6. I can boot into safe mode but it normal mode I get a grey screen after the apple logo (I guess it's down to the drivers :/). I can boot into safe mode but it normal mode I get a grey screen after the apple logo (I guess it's down to the drivers :/). remove atiradeonx2000kext then try to reboot. if you can change resolution after that you have only to take graphics accelleration. search about 4850 injection or something like that (ex evoenabler). obiviously you have already try to install netkas exotic package before post otherwise our discussion will be useless.
