LinearBurn
Perhaps I didn't understand but why don't you use this site ? http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/ Because im collecting a master list im planing on making a app to configure the cards and a universal kext for all ATI/AMD HD cards Thanks for the reply tho Because im collecting a master list im planing on making a app to configure the cards and a universal kext for all ATI/AMD HD cards Thanks for the reply tho Currently the kext supports a handfull of ATI HD cards that are apple aproved and if you want to add your own card you need to insert you hdw Id in to the kext im hopeing to make a one master kext that has all the ati hardware id in it so its asy as updateing a kext

LinearBurn
"One big legacy text to rule them all, one big legacy text to find them,One big legacy text to bring them all and in the darkness bind them." So this this the plan? Yepers well not one there is a total of 6 kexts that will need to be updated with id's got a master then the individual family of card controler kext this will add native mobile support for the cards also. If you havent noticed looking at the cards generation just because you card is labled hd 4ksomthing it may actualy be a 2k somthing thats rebranded so injecting the ID's in the wrong place can have glitichy problems hence monitors not waking up or just {censored} performance

gaboalpha
Im looking for dumps of your ATI Bios and the Hardware ID value for your card a example of what i want is mine is a ATI Radion 5750 1.0g dd5 my bios dump is named 1002_68be.bin my Hardware ID is 0x68BE1002 PowerColor Go! Green AX5750 1GBD5-NS3DH Radeon HD 5750 1GB Please post in you reply the manfacture - model - bios dump - and hex value Thanks BURN I plan to make a universel kext set with support for all hd cards and will also post a master list of hardware ids and bioses later Bios Dumps can be maid using GPUZ in windows Hi LinearBurn I'm the owner of a Compaq Presario CQ62-225nr, with and AMD Athlon II P320 Processor 2.1Ghz. As a ATI Radeon HD owner, I have been suffering a long time hoping for a kext for my card to work, and it's nice to see such a good initiative from some coder that really wants to help. Chipset: AMD RS880 (also known as M880g) with ATI Mobility Raden HD 4250 Model: Integrated ATI Radeon HD 4250 Bios dump: Tried extracting the bios using GPU-Z both under Windows 7, and Windows XP, and got the message Bios reading not supported on this device. (Perhaps due to being an integrated graphis card?) Hex Value: 0x9712 If there is a way to dump my bios or get any other kind of useful information about my card I am willing to cooperate on every aspect . Thanks for giving us a hope! Gabo. Cloudane
Given the context of the site, a way to look this stuff up on OS X might help. Step by step instructions wouldn't hurt either.. I'm sure most here could figure out what you're asking and how to do it, but making it easier for people and with the benefits of helping out in plain English might garner a few more respnoses
gombi
Because im collecting a master list im planing on making a app to configure the cards and a universal kext for all ATI/AMD HD cards Thanks for the reply tho Currently the kext supports a handfull of ATI HD cards that are apple aproved and if you want to add your own card you need to insert you hdw Id in to the kext im hopeing to make a one master kext that has all the ati hardware id in it so its asy as updateing a kext After your answer I assume you even did not bother to visit http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/ On this site you can get all original BIOS dumps for probably all Radeon HD cards from different vendors. Every bios dump has a detail information visible on site. For example for ASUS EAH6850 DIRECT CU 2DIS V2 you can see the folowing details: GPU Device Id: 0x1002 0x6739 113-AC92700-110 6739.13.9.0.3.AS01 © 1988-2010, AMD Technologies Inc. ATOMBIOSBK-ATI VER013.009.000.003.000000 AC92700.004 **************************************************************************** and more information regarding voltage and core speed for different profiles It means you can collect all possible information just from this site. You have bios files with card ID and manufacturer description. Of course having only BIOS file you can get its Hardware ID just reading that bios with RBE tool ( under windows). biciolino
Sapphire ATi Radeon HD4870/512 Here's my BIOS dump: http://www.mediafire.com/?dwwkuh2kd1aet4h I use no injection whatsoever, with latest 10.6.7 1.6.34.13 Drivers. I am aware that some applications such as DVD Player or Geekbench crash at launch, whith no active injection but, when I want even those 3 or 4 applications to work, I simply enable Chameleon RC5 embedded injection by adding GraphicsEnabler=y to my c.A.b.p. In this specific case, when i copied and pasted "About this Mac" output, it was enabled.
