Hello everyone,

This begins my odyssey with a hackintosh machine. My hardware list is long and detailed and I have provided the list below my signature. The journey begins with a young private in the Army in 1986. I began to learn about DOS and the DOS Shell environment. This lead to windows and nearly a MCSE certification. I have turned my back upon windows.

Using the #####+##### thread (after about 200 attempts on other theads) I enjoyed limited success. The 10.6.3 install was simple and painless. Using various threads, I compiled information to hack audio, video, ethernet, USB 3.0, and Sil3132 PCIe eSATA/RAID cards. The combo upgrade to 10.6.6 was quite difficult and involved restoring the 10.6.3 image (SuperDuper) and beginning again. Finally, there was progress. After on failure, I used ##### to return to the installation (after 10.6.6) upgrade and discovered a major issue. The USB rollback worked. However, the ICH8 information from an injector was missing. Hence, the ACPI kernel panic's. I reinstalled the patched kexts for ICH8, and the JMicron chip for GSATA and walla!

Now I have a perfectly operational system with only minor issues. These issues can only be resolved by DSDT. I seek a DSDT for a GA-965P-S3 board that will address the ACPI, Audio, Video, ICH8, and PCIe information as indicated in my hardware list.

If I can help anyone with information or guidance regarding my working system... please reply and I will provide any help I possibly can!

Hi there,

I have the same board as you. I have everything working including sleep as vanilla as possible. Only native speedstep doesn`t work yet.

Just look here:

Patch dsdt with auto patcher, install FakeSMC etc. from the pack in the Extra folder. Find how to make audio (in the thread I sent) and gpu working and you are good to go :D

Next time use search feature :D

Regards

Hey there....

Thanks for the help! I have an auto-pached DSDT. I did not include the ACPI, HDEF, or a few other patches needed. The one I used created kernel panics in ACPI, and AppleHDA. You are correct about the search, though... I do appreciate your help with the two links. I will follow the links and do some additional research. However, in my defense, the search feature needs some work (as completely identified in several other threads). My searches resulted in unneeded hits on the GA-965P-DS3 board. That is why I went straight to the DSDT Auto-Patch thread.

I have the modified AppleHDA, AppleHDEnabler, and a few of the sub-string kexts. However, my current setup is based upon ##### and the VoodooHDA (Universal). I am trying to completely patch the DSDT with all necessary fixes prior to undoing the things that work.

Thanks again,

I will look at the DSDT and see if all patches are included...
