big_fella_andy
Last night i formatted an 8gb memory stick, i used Transmac, and followed the instructions, i expanded the .DMG file as requested to. Then tried to put the .dmg file back on the memory stick. This took over 10 hours to do, now when i'm looking at the memory card in my computer, it's saying. Drive g - Capacity 0 bytes, used space, 0 bytes, and free space 0 bytes. Does this mean that the transfer has gone wrong? Or does it mean that the cards been put into a format which windows can't read? (which would mean that this was successful? ) Can't test this just yet as i havn't got my mac setup just yet. Gringo Vermelho
Uhhh.. duh?! Why don't you open the USB stick with Transmac to find out? Or.. hell, you could try booting from it and see if it works?? big_fella_andy
Tried booting from it and it said no operating system found. But i thought it might have showed me this message when trying to boot because I don't have mac compatable hardware just yet. big_fella_andy
I might have been a bit of a dingbat lol. I've found out why it wasn't recognising operating system, I'de just been trying to boot direct from the flashdrive, now i've looked into boot 132. and iATKOS. so will have a go at it tomorow. Don't want to format anything, Don't know weather to risk installing on my PC with all my documents on and everything and over 100gb of important stuff and hoping it partitions it without losing anything. PC Spec is Core 2 duo, e6700, Asus Striker extreme, 8800GTX. Which is probably most likley to work. Or i can try it on my laptop which i never use. Which is an Emachines w340ua running on an old AMD Sempron. which i doub't very much will work. only just about manages windows XP, and thats still almost imposible to find sound drivers for. The only alternative is get a cheap 120gb harddrive or something.
