I'm using IBM thinkpad R52 with ati x300 mobility 64MB and I installed Callisto b006 and Koverg 9700 patch and everything works smoothly including resolution and refresh adjustment. but when i tried to turn on QE/CI support by modifying ATIRadeon9700GA.kext, i got tearing image after restart. i searched the forum but didn't find anything match my problem. does anyone know anything could help me out of this? thx in advance.

p.s. i'm running jas 10.4.6 /w 10.4.7 patch and i installed the ati patch during system setup and i heard this might be where the problem lies. is it true? if the answer is yes do i have other ways to fix it other then reinstall the system?

Be sure to replace the 10.4.6 acpi kexts in the 10.4.8 install. Try Mighty mouse and the mouseset that is posted on this forum. It removed much of the tearing but all windows have tearing when you first start them. Hit F11 and the F11 again and the tearing dissapears!
