I had to piece an install together for this model, so for reference, it is itemised below. If anyone can see something I may have left out, let me know.

Toshiba Satellite Model P500-PSPGSC-0TE00T

2.4GHz Intel Core i5-450M processor

4GB memory

1GB(500Gbx2) Hitachi Hard Disk

8x DVD SuperMulti (+/-R double layer) BD ROM/Writer

18.4” FHD TFT

Intel 5 Series/3400 Chipset

nVidia GT216 [GeForce GT 330M] [10de:0a29] (rev a2)

nVidia High Definition Audio Controller [10de:0be2] (rev a1)

FireWire (IEEE 1394), O2 Micro, Inc. Device [1217:10f7] (rev 01)

SD Host controller O2, Micro, Inc. Device [1217:8120] (rev 01)

Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8191SEvB Wireless LAN Controller [10ec:8172] (rev 10)

Atheros Communications AR8131 Gigabit Ethernet [1969:1063] (rev c0)

Install Procedure:

-Bios: Disable USB Legacy Emulation

-Install 10.6.3 using #####:

-Copy 10.6.6 Combo update and ##### from USB key to desktop folder

-Reboot in safe mode from ##### disk to 10.6.3 partition (-v -x)

-Run 10.6.6 Combo update (do not reboot when completed)

-Delete AppleHDA.kext from /System/Library/Extensions

-Run ##### and select the following options

#####

System Utilities

Audio:
AppleHDA Rollback

Misc:
Voodoo PS/2

Software:
Kext Helper,
Kext Utility

-Reboot (-v)

Once recovered from the reboot, open terminal and enter the following

sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0

sudo rm /private/var/vm/sleepimage

-Navigate to: System>Library>LaunchAgents>com.apple.ReportCrash.Self.Plist

Copy the file: com.apple.ReportCrash.Self.Plist

-Navigate to: User/Library/

-Create a new folder if needed in Library titled: LaunchAgents

-Paste: com.apple.ReportCrash.Self.Plist in LaunchAgents

-Delete the original: System>Library>LaunchAgents>com.apple.ReportCrash.Self.Plist

(There may be a better place to put this so it can be found on startup, but this location seems to work.)

-Install Voodoo 2.7.2 pkg:

-Add sleepenabler.kext for 10.6.6 to /Extras/Library/Extensions. Per story:

-Install with assist of kext helper and kext utility, Atheros AR8131 LAN driver
(L1C for Snow Leopard 4/25/2010)

Notes:

-If a reboot yields no trackpad, re-run ##### and select System Utilities and Misc/Voodoo PS/2

-None of the ALC-XXX kexts worked with the sound device, only the above mentioned install package resolved. Working very well, despite no audio info is displayed in system profiler.

-Must use a 10.6.3 retail disk, using 10.6.0 would panic with any combo updater over 10.6.3, even in safe mode.

-IOUSB rollback did not seem to be required.

-Wlan Realtek 8191SE device inoperable due to lack of drivers. (I'm planning to swap the pos out for suitable, cross platform aware, Broadcom device. So if anyone has some disassembly advice on this model, Id be interested in hearing from you.)

Very stable system. The only anomaly in the console log is:

com.apple.UserEventAgent-LoginWindow[92]

ALF error: cannot find useragent 1102

(Needle/Haystak for another day.)
