MiBu Posted January 30, 2011 Share Posted January 30, 2011 Hi, i have the following problem: I have sold my VGA-Card ATI HD4870 running fine on OSX 10.6.4 (fully working). Now i want to use my OLD one, a Nvidia 7800GT (this was also fully working on =SX 10.6.4 BEFORE i installed the 4870). I already removed all ATI kexts from System/Library/Extensions and i installed the nvdarwin.pkg that was working fine for this card. Now let´s talk about my problem: in system profiler it still shows up as 4870, but the device id is already 7800GT´s. So it only works in 1024x768 mode :-( ! Can somebaody help me how i can remove the ATI4870 COMPLETELY from my system?!?
