GMA950 @ 1440x900

Does the GMA 950 (Board: 945GNTL) support a resolution of 1440x900 (widescreen 19")?

In my system preferences there isn`t such a resolution.

 

Is there a possibility that the GMA 950 supports 1440x900 although it isn`t listed in the system preferences?

On the macbook, no.

Resolution also depends on the screen, not only video card. Maybe GMA supports it, but if the screen cannot .... then it's a no-no.

He hit it right on the money. I have a Radeon x800 XL and it supports up to 2000 something resolution, and since my monitor maxes out at 1024x768, I can't use the 2000 something resolution.

I know that the resolution also depends on the monitor; I now have an old monitor with 800x600.

In the system preferences i can choose between a dozen of resolutions or so(up to 2000 somthing), independent on which resolution the monitor can take.

My problem is, that i want to buy a new one (with 1440x900), but exactly this resolution isn't listed in the system preferences.

Yes, the GMA950 supports 1440 x 900 on displays which are natively 1440 x 900.

 

You should have no problems.

i confirm

i got gma 950 on a Acer AL1916W and it works perfectly

just have to use DisplayConfig X to use 75 htz instead of 60 htz

it's smooooooth
