Hello i have been reading a lot on the forums here and could use a little hope and since im new this is the only place i can post.

anyway i have a dell inspiron 1545 and i have download iAtkos v7, and i have my 1 TB external hard drive and i have been trying to use that to install it instead of a dvd.

I have followed a few of the tutorials involving ddmac and unetbootin. i format it to Fat32 and change the partition type to af and everything, but when i change the partition type to af to use ddmac it removes the drive letter from my extended hard drive so i cant pick it in ddmac. I tried to go back under the manager and give it one but the only option is to delete the volume. i tried to assign it one in diskpart but the volume does not show up when i list volumes.

If i can get past this step im pretty sure i can do it. what am i doing wrong and is what im tryin to do even possible? from what ive read it should be. Please any help would be greatly appreciated.
