Hi

I had a perfectly working hackintosh that my friend made for me. After an update my sound stopped working. I foolishly attempted to restore the sound by following lifehacker and now the computer will not boot up and all i get is the apple screen saying i need to restart. Luckily I managed to take out the harddrive and restore important data by making it a slave drive on my laptop. I was wondering if there is anyway for me to fix this problem without having to reinstall the operating system? I'm new to the forum. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
