I have a Dell XPS M1530 and I installed iATKOS S3 V2, and this configuration causes a typical Kernel panic. I'm not sure what to change or mess around with and considering it takes like 20-30 minutes per install if anyone has any suggestions on changing up the Customize, please let me know.

Config: I used this post as a baseline, but didn't make things 32-bit. Tried it with 32 bit but it didn't make a difference.

Anything not listed was not checked.

-----------------

Bootloader: Chameleon v2 RC4

Bootloader Options: Graphics Enabler, -pc1, Legacy Logo

Patches: RTC, qoopz 10.3.0, EVO Reboot

Drivers: AHCI Sata, All PS/2, EvO Speedstep, Battery, All NTFS-3G

Network: Wireless: Broadcom, Wired: Marvell

Hardware:

----------------

Laptop: Dell XPS M1530

CPU: Core2Duo T9300, 2500 MHz (12.5 x 200)

Chipset: Intel Crestline-PM PM965

Memory: 4096 MB DDR2 SDRAM

BIOS Type: Phoenix

Video Card: GeForce 8600M GT (256 MB)

Audio: SigmaTel STAC9228X High Definition Audio Controller

Storage: FUJITSU 250 GB SATA-II ATA Device (set to AHCI in the BIOS)

Wireless: Dell Wireless 1505 Draft 802.11n WLAN Mini-Card (192.168.1.73)

Wired: Marvell Yukon 88E8040 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller

For a full hardware report (really really long but nicely formatted in HTML), go here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/27137/Report.htm

Error: Here's the error I get when I try and boot into OSX when typing "-v -x" at OS selection.

If there is any other information you need, let me know.

I Know this was quite a while ago but for anyone else looking for a solution to this problem, the M1530 works great with iAtkos s3 v2 if you do the following:

After the install, boot back into the iatkos disc.

Open Terminal from the menu.

Delete the two instances of the ElliottForceLegacyRTC.kext directories.

I don't remember the exact paths but you can find them with:

cd /

find ./ -name Elli\*.kext

then for each result

rm -rf /path/to/kextname

and Reboot!

Sound, webcam, hdd, dvdrw, ethernet and usb work out of the box.

PS2 needs kext, iatkos included one doesn't work.

Full resolution / Graphics work with graphicsenabler + natit kext.

Hello!

Im also concerned about a solution to this topic. I know kenop already gave an alternative but I'd like a little more details, cuz I'm a real noob on OSx86.

So... If anyone solved this, and has a working configuration, please could you share it?

Thanks for the assistance
