Okay so it just doesn't spin while im running OSX but when im in the bios or anything else it runs just fine. so far ive narrowed it down to something in the boot process, i can make the fan work by putting the pc to sleep then waking it up a few seconds later. doing that can become a hassle, i want to lend this laptop to my friends at times but with this issue i fear my laptop roasting like a pig if left unattended.

OS: 10.6.5

i removed the intelcpupower kext but that doesnt work does anyone have any suggestions?

A side note how can i log the -v boot?
