vamose
Hi All, Can any one provide me the BIOS settings for G31M-ES2C rev.2.0 firmware version FF. The firmware version does not need to match mine; I am ready to change it. Firmware link : http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-p...x?pid=3135#bios User Manual Link : http://download.gigabyte.asia/FileList/Man...2c%29_2.x_e.pdf I had Snow Leopard installed on this board with everything working. I tried to upgrade the Chameleon to version 5 and that’s when everything broke. Now I am unable to reinstall the Snow Leopard using USB boot method. The USB boots up, but does not go beyond the apple logo (left computer on for over 5 hours, but installation does not move beyond the apple logo screen, no additional visual signs). I have read on various posts, to have the bios setting reset to Optimized option and make following changes: Advanced BIOS Features : HDD S.M.A.R.T. Capability [Enabled] CPU Enhanced Halt [Disabled] CPU Thermal Monitor [Disabled] CPU EIST Function [Disabled] [*]Integrated Pereprhals : USB Keyboard Function [Enabled] USB Mouse Function [Enabled] SATA RAID/AHCI Mode [AHCI] Onboard SATA/IDE Device [AHCI] [*]Power Management Setup : HPET Mode [64-bit Mode] For the G31M-ES2C there is no option to select AHCI mode. Can anyone suggest what mode has to be selected? Please refer to the attached Bios setting Query .doc file attached mb_manual_ga_g31m_es2l_es2c__2.x_e.pdf Bios_settings_query.doc Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/239689-bios-setting-g31m-es2c-106-installation/ Share on other sites
