ATI 4350 + ALC 888

Hey guys and mods,

 

I have been reading these forums for about 7 months now, just joined few days back

 

I have tried installing Snow Leo 10.6.2 by hazard

 

I have gotten everything to work except my graphic's card (ATI 4350 512 MB) and also my Audio which i think is ALC 888, i am 70 % sure i am correct.

 

Here are my specs.

 

Processor: Sempron (M) 3400+ 1.8 GHzChipset: GeForce 6150 LE Mother Board

• Manufacturer: Asus
  
• Motherboard Name: A8M2N-LA
  
• HP/Compaq motherboard name: Naos-GL6
  

Memory: 512 MB DDR-2

 

Sound/Audio

• Controller: AC97 audio
  
• Dolby 5.1
  
• Location: Integrated
  

• ALC888 CODEC
  

 

 

And for my graphics card: Is from ATI 4350 512 MB (not from asus or msi, etc. i got it from futureshop ati manufactured)

 

I have tried many kexts for both of them; none have worked so far. For ati, my screen gets messed up can see anything. After restarting. For sound i have tried alot of em, 90% of the times i get kernal panic.

 

Please help me fix these problems,

Haha I have searched many threads and also tried the link that you gave me for ati 4350 it made my screen mess up. For the sound i dont quit understand how to rebuild kext

For video did you use For 10.6.2 add ATI4350.Fix.v0.kext and ATI4350.Fix.v1.kext to /E/E/. Add the string to com.apple.boot.plist and use Chameleon RC4 or later etc

 

 

for audio just install with kext utility, it will rebuild mkext & kext cache automatically

Arent you supposed to add v0 only for 10.6.2 ? And this is a noob question but how do you add string? and to apple boot thing.

 

And for sound i just run that kext in that thread you gave me the link to earlier and using kext ultility?
