HECK YEA, you could probably run the unmodified vanilla Kernel on it, what kind of internet connectivity does it have though? (This would allow you to update right from Apple, with no problems at all.) And as far as distros, I would get iAtkos S3 V2, that would be Snow Leopard 10.6.3, I'm installing it right now.. ! Runs much better than leopard, and somehow, faster. The quartz graphics are great too. With the specs on your laptop, Snow Leopard would be beast. johnpanlican Posted August 2, 2011 Share Posted August 2, 2011 I've successfully installed Lion on this beast . 64 bit I've yet to figure out how to fix sleep and audio, Wifi/webcam works OTB Graphics full 1920x1080 QE/CI but dvdplayer,xbench,steam games crashes (im fiddling with the framebuffers currently).
