Diablo2king
I've been trying to install leopard on my rig but it isnt finding my hdd that I want to install it on. I have 2 hard drives in my pc a 1.5tb drive for windows and my 250gb drive that im trying to ins leopard on. When I try to install leopard disk utilities only see my 1.5tb drive ad my 250gb drive that i would like to use is no where to be found... If i unpluged my 1.5tb drive would show my other drive? evilsquelch
format the HD in some kind of format. then restart. use the Disk utility from the Mac os Installation disk and "erase" to HFS+ (journaled)
Diablo2king
Hmm ill have to try that, if I format the drive to HFS+ in linux (ubuntu) would that work or would I have to format it to fat32 first?
Gringo Vermelho
There's no need. Just run Disk Utility from the install DVD and do what you have to do, before starting the installation itself.
Diablo2king
I would do that but the installer doesn't see my other hard drive. It acts as if my 1.5TB hard drive is the only one installed.
Gringo Vermelho
I'm not talking about the Installer, I'm talking about Disk Utility, which you invoke from the Utilities menu before starting the installation. If Disk Utility doesn't see the drive either, then plug the drive you want to install to into the same drive controller as your 1.5TB drive. Refer to your motherboard manual to see which color SATA plugs belong to which controller.
