sure you can easiest way (|for me ) is to just install windows first and create partition (1 for windows and 1 for osx ) then install osx on second partition

But which X86 Project and version should i use? iDeneb? iATKOS?

None.

Use a Snow Leopard retail DVD + a suitable boot CD.

Italian user 'buoo' created a P5Q-series boot CD a while back.

I helped him out a bit in this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=232723

But there is an "official" release thread of the boot CD somewhere, most likely in the Italian language sub-forum. Use the search to find it.

Ok for the Snow leopard and boot disks can i use single layered discs? Dont have dual layered ones

Yes, you can make the Install DVD "slim" to fit a Single-Layer DVD.

Just buy the install discs... they're less than 30 bucks.

The Boot CD image goes on a CD. That's why it's called a Boot CD. :)

Snow Leopard Retail only fits on a dual layer DVD. Even my local drug store has those...and I live in Brazil.

That said, you should buy Snow Leopard. It's only 30 dollars.

Just looking... this topic is kinda nostalgic... wasn't this question been asked before?

Which file should i download? the p5qxx.zip

my model not there?

Download the kexts that is suppose to be for your hardware, dont look at your motherboard model... look at the individual parts, like what model of NIC you have, your GFX card, chipset, audio.

based on the specs i have given which shd i download?

@dothacker - you are working against me dude. Let's try something simpler first (a boot CD).

...

I see what the problem is here, buoo didn't make a boot CD for the P5Q-SE/R.

What you can do is go to ASUS' website and use the "compare" function to compare the other boards in the P5Q series to yours.

When you find the best match, download the boot CD image for that board.

/EDIT....i have to do everything around here.. grumble..

wait, go here:

As you can see the first reply is from a P5Q-SE user.

I'm not familiar with all boards in the P5Q series but the extra "R" on yours probably just means RAID, ie it has ICH10R instead of ICH10, like the P5Q-E, Pro and Deluxe (I think).

Final release thread here:

If you really don't want to read/study anything, then just try each P5Q boot CD until you find one that works. Use a CD-RW.
