GregPxC
Okay so I am running an AMD Phenom II x6 Processor, 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, 1 TB HDD, and ATI Radeon HD 4290 Integrated Graphics - Just to clear that up. Anyway, I put in the iPC 10.5.6 (I figure I'd try something I know will operate on AMD) and load it up. The first time I did it I got a kernel panic on the apple logo The second time I booted with -v and it runs up until I get this string (I'll just post the 5 lines) USBF 5.488 AppleUSBOHCI[0x6321000]::CheckSleepCapability - OHCI Controller will be unloaded across sleep USBF 5.481 AppleUSBOHCI[0x63bc000]::CheckSleepCapability - OHCI Controller will be unloaded across sleep USBF 5.481 AppleUSBOHCI[0x61a0000]::CheckSleepCapability - OHCI Controller will be unloaded across sleep Still waiting for root device Still waiting for root device (The last line, still waiting for root device, appears every 30 seconds or so, so now it's up to like 20 lines of just that.) Also, when I don't boot -v I get to the apple logo and the load wheel beneath it. It loads for a while and then a square with a red circle and a line through it show up. That might be easier to translate than the -v reading but who knows. Thanks for the help. I did search too btw but apparently I'm not good at searching forums lol I now know this is an error to boot from the specified hard drive/partition If I specify an rd=diskx where x is my guess it doesn't work rd=disk(0-5) I will keep going I suppose until someone tells me how to handle it. Since it's not booting from a hard drive I can't imagine any rd=disk command would work... but you guys can fill me in on that part hopefully
GregPxC
quick update on the issue: when I boot rd=disk0 I get a kernel panic but no other rd=diskx commands cause a kernel panic. UPDATE: I attempted iDeneb 10.5.5 to no avail. Same issue... can anyone help me out here, please?
bijan55
When you get to that message insert a USB stick and it should fix it Only when you are at the installation.

I think I tried your suggestion? (I can't get to the installation.. ) And I got a kernel panic which is a step forward I guess... I can post the details if you can't think of anything...
