pdiddles03
I looked around and didn't see many answers to this. I have been trying to install a retail version of Mac os x 10.5.6 on my hp nc6400 laptop. I got past the beach ball issue and now it tells me my keyboard and mouse are not detected. It shows me to install batteries into a wireless mouse. How can i fix this issue to install the mouse and keyboard on my laptop? IF i need certain kexts, can you point me in the right direction? thanks in advance
enochpc
Try finding a version of VoodooPS2.kext, there are multiple posts and versions. I know that laptops use a version of PS2 because of a similiar issue with my m1530. I assumed I didn't need PS2 support but I did. Google search Voodoo team voodoops2.kext, I tried to put a link but it seems the chameleon site is blacklisted for some reason.
pdiddles03
it says on their site to install it with kext helper or change the.mkext extension to show it, The problem with these are I believe you need mac os installed to do it. I can't install it till the OS detects my mouse and keyboard. How can i do it with a retail dvd?
David23
if you put voodoops2 into extra/extension of chameleon or boot cd your devices will work.

pdiddles03
Is this a hard question to answer?
3.14r2
Is this a hard question to answer?Make no offence...You have two options depending on your current situation: If you have installed OS X and it is running and if you use Chameleon boot loader, then copy the above voodoops2 (or whatever it is called) to /Extra/Extensions folder (this folder is located on the root of the disk). If you have NO OS X INSTALLED YET (installing it) or USING A BOOT CD TO boot OS X, modify the content of the CD by adding the above kext. Then rebuild CD and burn it. Dellmantt
Or use USB keyboard & mouse for the install, then add PS2 later
