Hi,

Does anyone use i7 for music production?

I would like to know your rig specs so I can sort out a problem I have since a while.

Thanks in advance.

Millions of people around the world. What's your specs and what's the problem?

My problem is sound cuts but I mean like glitches very small and fast cuts. Just with latency modes below 1024. No problem with my sound card as I have tested sound using two sound cards and mobo sound. I get the same thing. Not sure if my graphic card could be the reason as my dsdt is for this mobo and the only thing left is graphic card or memory ram.

i7 920 D0

GA X58 UD5

OCZ Platinum 6 GB

4809 Vapor-X

Motu 828 MKII

I think netkas driver might cover 4890 cards but they might be kind of faulty for this card version I have.

Not sure but Logic need quartz cards in order to install it or run. I have also tested on snow leopard. Right now I am on Leo 10.5.7.

Glitches are something to do with processing as the cuts are only audible on speaker when I bounce I dont get any artifacts or anything.

I also get a lot of cpu load peaks sometimes with just sculpture. It raises to the top with some presets.

Uff that was long....

Thanks in advance.
