I got one of those sata cd tray converters that I could put a hard drive in my SuperDrive bay in my MacBook Pro. I put a 1TB in the main bay and a 256GB solid state in the converter and everything is fantastic except if I shut down, the next time I have to reset the pram or else the MacBook will never get past the grey screen and the Apple logo never shows up! This isn't so bad but I was wondering if someone here had a solution.

I was thinking I could edit some EFI settings to set the SSD as the boot drive but so far Googling has left me with nothing :D

Setting the Startup Disk in System Preferences has no effect either; I still have to reset the pram every time.
