Gringo Vermelho
every time i have to type arch=i386 command . Means am i booting in 32 bit or 64 bit? It means you're booting in 32-bit mode. Add it to your kernel flags string in /Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist so you don't have to type it every time you boot. The difference between 32- and 64-bit mode is not the same on OS X as it is in Windows. OS X can address and use up to 32GB RAM and (if your CPU has EM64T instruction set) run 64-bit applications in 32-bit mode (cool isn't it).
