hello everyone,

I am trying to install 10.4.5 on my pc using the universal amd/intel dvd. After I finish the install, i reboot, and then bam, kernel panic....

there is one odd thing that happened while i was installing, i've read that when i click customize in the installation i should be able to slect exactly which of the patches i want to install, and not just the general amd/intel patches(all in one) that i installed, can someone confirm this??

attached is a picture of the kernel panic in -v

my specs are

intel p4 2.66GHz (SSE2)

abit ic7

wd 120GB

sony dru-810 dvd burner

ATI 9600XT

I already took a look on the wiki to see that my computer is supposed to be compatible with OSX

so is it something i did wrong, or is something wrong with the iso file

I am a complete noob, any guidance/help would be greatly appreciated

Please help me!!!

Thanks in advance

Is there a little arrow to the left of it? Click the arrow to expand that selection so you can pick what you need.

If you have trouble choosing, when you go into Customize, expand the package list by clicking on the little arrows on the left (especially the last one) and then take a picture and we'll help you choose what to install.

hello,

ok, i've restarted the installation to see what my choices are when i click the arrow next to the patches.

here is what i see

Intel.And.AMD.Patches

AMD Only

Intel.BaseSystem

Intel.SSE3

Intel.SSE2

Update.to.10.4.5

nForce.Sata.and VIA.SATA.ATA

Could someone please tell me what patches i need to check for installation on a intel p4 SSE2.

Thanks in advance.
