Hi guys :)

before i start to explain my problem to you, i have to say that i'm italian and i apologize for my future mistakes.

i installed SL (10.6.3) on my pc (my conf: intel q9400 @2,6ghz - 4gb ram dd3 - mobo asus p5qc) and i have some problem with my Ati HD 4870.

i found this post http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p=1503808 and done these steps:

- deleted ATI4800Controller.kext from /system/library/extensions

- downloaded LegacyATI4800Controller.kext , kext helper b7 and lizard

- executed kext helper, dragged 'n dropped LegacyATI4800Controller.kext on kexthelper, wrote my password and clicked on easy install. it says the installation went fine, so i closed it

- executed lizard, chosed my monitor resolution (1440x900x32). clicked on auto-detect value, then on Graphic Injection and then saved.

... and it still doesn't work.

what i did wrong?

thanks in advance :o

Hi, You have followed a guide for the wrong GFx card. You must find specifically 4870 Guide and preferably

one that refers to your specific brand & model working.. :)

those drivers seems to be working for the 4800 series...

can you tell me where i can find drivers for my 4870 and how to install them?
