I knew I had no real idea what I was doing trying to copy a mach_kernel file I was given over the /mach_kernel, but what has happened is now I can't even boot into OSX.

It doesn't matter what boot parameter I choose, none work.

-s results in a black screen

-v shows a few lines of text output then goes to a black screen

-x shows the grey screen with the apple logo

no option results in the same as -x

All the above lock up the system and I have to reset.

I knew I shouldn't have messed with the mach_kernel!

Is there a way to fix or a means for me to get into a shell to copy the original mach_kernal back?

Thanks!
