Hallo, everyone :censored2:

I decided to write this guide, because there's nothing written for SL on ASROCK ION 330, despite it's very useful nettop :)

I made my system dual boot using Windows 7 and iATKOS S3 v2.

It's very easy actually, you just have to partition your hard drive:

So, lets get started:

First update your bios with the uploaded file "AMCP7AI1.rar" It's version 1.50d.

Then set your bios like in picture called "BIOS" (Leave Hyper Threading Technology [Enabled], Legacy USB Support [Enabled], not like in the picture ! )

Step 1: Insert iATKOS S3 v2 disk and boot from it.

When it loads, start "Disk Utility" and partition you hard drive:

Click on the hard drive "320.07 GB ST9320325AS Media", than go to "Partition" tab -> Options and set it to Master Boot Record.

Then set 3 partitions:

1. WINDOWS 7 - 40GB [FAT32]

2. MacintoshHD - 90GB [Mac OS Extendet (Journaled)]

3. DataHD - 180GB [Mac OS Extendet (Journaled)]

Hit Apply and when it's done reboot the computer, replacing the CD with the "Windows 7" one.

Step 2: Boot with the Windows 7 disk and when you get to the installation part, select the partition called WINDOWS 7 and click "Format" and then install.

Wait for the installation to complete.

Step 3: Insert iATKOS S3 v2 disk. When it boot you have to choose "MacintoshHD" partition for the installation and click "Customize"

Now follow the picture called "OSX INSTALL ASROCK ION 330" that I have uploaded.

After the installation completes, you will see the startup animation and you have to fill you information.

Now you have a dual boot system using "Chameleon V2 RC4"

And everything works, except the audio, which is VIA 1708S and it's not supported.

In my case, I've bought cheap USB sound card called "HAMA" and works out of the box :)

For the USB2 to fully work in OSX you have to set back Legacy USB Support [bIOS Setup Only] in bios.

Step 4: Aftrer you boot into Snow Leopard you can download the "MacOSXUpd10.6.4" update from the Apple's site and install it.

That's it ! You're done !

Yes posyun,

in my case I go through BIOS with F2 key when I want to boot in Windows 7 and I change the option [bIOS Setup Only] to [Enabled]

If I found another modified bios that has no problem with USB2 in MAC I will be glad to share it!

Hi there, I wonder if anyone can help me out here? I'm a Mac sysadmin, but I'm new to Hackintoshes…

I followed these instructions to install Snow Leopard on an Asrock Ion 330, but after installation I can't get it to boot past the grey Apple logo.

Any ideas what I might have done wrong?

Indeed. I got this working last night, but not using the exact settings from this thread.

I used the AsereBLN bootloader and installed the Atom modified kernel and it worked (Chameleon RC4 + Atom kernel didn't work).

I have updated to 10.6.4 and installed the patched 10.4.0 kernel and new SleepEnabler.kext. System profiler shows an iMac with a Core 2 Duo (1 processor, 2 cores), but iStat menus shows me 4 distinct cores, so I think hyperthreading is working. I didn't install any Nvidia EFI strings, should I have done?

The only problems are that I can't get sleep to work, it seems to sleep for a split second then wakes up non-responsive (as was the case with the default iAtkos install), and that the system seems to be running hot compared to the Linux I had on it before. Maybe I am missing some sort of power management extension? I am new to this so if anyone has any ideas I'm all ears…

you can use hacked kernel for atom with 64bit working :) and no need to change the bootloader

What settings did you use in the customization part? I tried about anything (different boot loaders and settings) but I still get stuck with a blinking cursor at boot. I have no clue what I am doing wrong. I followed the installation guide exactly.

Any ideas? Thanks!
